I'm Kim Gladden, author of Caught All Up In It.
About the Author
Kim Gladden was born and raised in Washington, DC and grew up in Mayfair Mansion Apartments in Northeast. She attended and graduated from Eastern Senior High School in 1987. She has enjoyed writing stories since grade school. In earlier years as a stay-at-home Mom she became more into writing short stories and poetry, but only as a hobby. She hid her desire to write because she felt it was too personal to share and only used it as a method of therapy when faced with adversity. Now deciding to share her work with the public through the advice of co-worker Derrick Birdsong, she hopes her books could be used as some form of vehicle by women faced with similiar trials. Although completely ficticiuos, the stories have a real-life feel and involve the true depth of situations many woman face today. Her true passion is poetry and children's books which she is working towards dedicating more time to in the near future. In addition to writing and raising her familiy, Kim has also worked as a contractor with the federal government since 1996, but has always dreamed of going into business for herself. Her dreams became reality when her company Gladden Publishing and labor organization Union Rights for Security Officers opened thier doors consecutively in February 2009 and Spring of 2010. Aside from writing, she is currently the full-time Executive Director/President of URSO, a National Labor Organization that negotiates economic packages and fair working conditions for PSO's and security personnel employed in the government and private sectors. When she is not working she enjoys family time, traveling, shopping, HGTV and volunteering. She is excited about her accomplishments a Union Leader as well as an author and is hard at work fighting labor disputes and writing collective bargaining agreements with the advice of her legal team, while continuing to put the finishing touches on her upcoming novel in her down time.
